Websites for tutoring services: win parents' trust, fill sessions
Tutoring is almost always searched for by parents, usually just before report cards or after a bad test, and they decide fast. The website must show parents within seconds that their child gets help here in their subject and grade, what it costs and how to start. Two points many providers overlook in Germany: state-funded learning support and the rules for online courses.
Subjects, grades, process
Parents need quick answers to these questions:
- Subjects and grades up to final exams, with their own pages for the most requested, such as maths or English.
- One-to-one or group, in person or online, duration and frequency.
- A free trial lesson or first conversation, bookable directly.
- Who teaches, with qualifications and experience.
- Prices per session or month, notice periods, no hidden fees.
State-funded learning support
In Germany, pupils from families receiving citizen's income, social assistance, housing benefit or child supplement can get learning support under Section 28(5) of Social Code II or the corresponding rules, if it is suitable and additionally necessary to reach key learning goals. Being at risk of repeating a year is not a requirement.
If you bill through this education and participation scheme, say so on the website and explain the process in simple steps. That reaches families who otherwise wouldn't book tutoring.
Online tutoring and the Distance Learning Protection Act
If you sell online courses with pre-produced content and progress checks, check whether Germany's Distance Learning Protection Act applies; then approval by the ZFU is required, or the contract may be void. Live one-to-one video tutoring is usually assessed differently from a course with modules and assignments. Have new online formats checked before launch.
Finding tutors and cost
Good tutors are scarce. A page for applicants with hourly pay, subjects, flexible hours and easy application helps you grow. A tutoring website with subject pages, trial lesson booking and an applicant section starts at €1,800 with us.
Frequently asked questions
- Should tutoring prices be on the website?
- Yes. Parents compare, and transparent prices with clear notice periods build trust. Hidden registration fees put people off.
- How do parents find us on Google?
- With searches like "maths tutoring" plus town or district. A page per popular subject with local reference and a maintained Google profile help most.
- Can parents book the trial lesson online?
- Yes, with a booking calendar that takes subjects and available tutors into account. Parents often book in the evening.
